"Retail Anywhere's system architecture, deep feature set and their ability to deliver the support and services we were looking for made them the clear and easy choice as our retail technology partner."
Paso Robles, CA (Vocus/PRWEB) March 01, 2011
Retail Anywhere, a leading provider of point of sale and retail management systems for midsize retailers, today announced Ganahl Lumber, the oldest lumber yard in California, has selected Retail Anywhere POS to support its store operations and improve efficiencies throughout their retail organization.
Ganahl Lumber was established in 1884 and is the oldest lumber and building materials company in California. A family-owned and operated business, Ganahl operates ten retail locations supplying lumber, doors and windows, electrical, plumbing and hardware products to contractors and do-it-yourselfers throughout Southern California.
"With the assistance of Kevin Marshall from Think Business Advisors, and after a thorough search of more than 25 POS software vendors, we're excited about or selection of Retail Anywhere," said Gary Armstrong, Director of Information Systems at Ganahl Lumber. "Retail Anywhere's system architecture, deep feature set and their ability to deliver the support and services we were looking for made them a clear and easy choice as our retail technology partner."
Retail Anywhere will replace Ganahl's legacy retail POS system with Retail Anywhere POS software and IBM SurePOS 500 hardware. The new solution will provide Ganahl with more insight and control over the sales process while delivering an easy-to-use, highly configured POS interface. The new system infrastructure supports the retailers current and future operational plans and provides Ganahl with the flexibility to evolve as business needs change.
In addition to satisfying Ganahl's requirements for a new retail POS system, Retail Anywhere's solution will be integrated with Ganahl's home-grown ERP system. Integration between platforms will deliver a streamlined process for special orders, eliminating the need to re-key orders and significantly reducing customer wait time.
“We are excited to be working with such a successful family-owned company" said Branden Jenkins, CEO for Retail Anywhere. “Their investment in Retail Anywhere solutions and services will deliver an integrated solution enabling Ganahl to streamline business processes, reduce costs and ultimately improve customer service.”
