WildTangent Opens San Francisco Office -- Ben Chen Joins WildTangent Previously from Playdom/Disney Interactive

WildTangent today announced the opening of a San Francisco office and the addition of Benjamin Chen as Director of Audience Development and Strategic Partnerships. The expansion reflects WildTangent’s acceleration of its BrandBoost advertising platform into the growing business of social and mobile games.

Chen joins the company’s Ad Sales team in San Francisco, which currently partners with numerous Bay Area games content companies including Playdom, Crowdstar, Digital Chocolate, iWin, Mochi Media and MindJolt.

Chen will help lead the expansion of WildTangent’s proprietary BrandBoost advertising platform, which enables brands to dynamically engage with players, providing them sponsored access to virtual goods, game boosts and other premium in game content. BrandBoost supports 3rd party ad serving and reporting as well as creative formats ranging from long-form video to social engagement activities. A unique feature of BrandBoost is the ability for the platform to dynamically serve custom items into a social gamers experience, helping to enhance the quality of their experience while giving brands a way to imbed themselves into the entertainment experience.

Chen brings to WildTangent ten years of experience in sales, business development and monetization for media organizations. In his previous role as Director of sales at Playdom/Disney Interactive Media Group, Chen was responsible for advertising sales and alternative revenue.
