The final application deadline for George Fox University’s summer 2011 master of education program is set for Friday, April 1.

The graduate program, designed for licensed educators, is offered through the university’s School of Education, which is approved by the Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission and accredited nationally by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.

The program is designed to fulfill the professional development needs of educators who specialize in different aspects of K-12 education. It empowers educators by honing the personal development and professional teaching skills needed to guide students in today’s world.

April 1 is also the application deadline for the university’s administrator licensing and endorsement programs for K-12 educators. George Fox offers programs for both the Initial Administrator License and the Continuing Administrator License. Endorsement programs include reading, ESOL and library media.

The program’s summer semester offers face to face courses on George Fox’s Newberg, Ore., campus, during two three-week sessions. A distinguishing trademark of the program is a cutting-edge curriculum that incorporates innovative classroom techniques, computer technologies, and a broad spectrum of educational, psychological and sociological issues.
