ABC has announced t the launch of this exciting opportunity profiling the biggest Karaoke competition in the world. This reality TV series will bring you the amazing story of a competition that draws thousands of the most talented singers together in the ultimate sing-off. It’s a battle of performances that will crown a new king and queen of karaoke.

In collaboration with The Karaoke Channel Online, the 2011 KWCUSA Competition is offering the opportunity for competitors to qualify for the competition by recording and sharing karaoke songs at The Karaoke Channel Online (http://www.thekaraokechannel.com/online). “We are pleased, once again this year, to help karaoke singers qualify for the prestigious Karaoke World Championships USA by recording songs online,” says Gary Pelletier, VP of Marketing at Stringray Digital. "This is a great opportunity for singers to show their talent and to pursue their dreams,” he added. The Karaoke Channel is proud to provide gift certificates to KWCUSA finalists.

Only the best singers will advance to state and regional competitions. ABC will tape the four regional competitions in June to be broadcast at the beginning of August through early September. The top competitors will advance to the national level with the possibility of a live broadcast of the finals from Las Vegas.

By midnight April 30th, local venues must have completed their qualifying rounds, and online entries must be submitted. Unfortunately, due to the expected volume of online entries, no exceptions will be made. KWCUSA will notify the online contestants prior to their state or regional competition depending on how well they did. Please see the web site for complete details.
