In the past five years, Certified Payment Processing (CPP) has experienced significant growth with its two sales divisions—TransTech Merchant Group, located in Carrollton, Texas and Summit Merchant Solutions, in Richardson, Texas. In 2010, CPP began a new sales division, ISIS Direct. There are also plans to begin a fourth sales division later this year.
To accommodate the growing business, CPP is relocating to larger building in Carrollton, Texas which is large enough to house all the sales divisions, along with the administrative and support staff. The move will begin on March 27.
In 2009, CPP saw an almost 15 percent increase in new merchant accounts, and equipment installations were up by 30 percent. And while many companies were laying off employees, CPP increased the staff by seven percent to keep up with the growing business. Early projections of 2010 are equally optimistic.
“Our sales entities are exceptional and I think our consistent growth is the result of providing the right products and services to our merchant clients,” says Tony Norrie, Vice President and General Manager. “In this economy, businesses are looking for ways to save money. And they also want to have the most popular payments methods for the convenience of their customers—credit and debit cards, check authorization, ATMs and more. We provide them workable, cost-efficient solutions.”
As a direct provider of credit card processing, CPP has been a leader in the merchant services industry for more than 16 years, with a management team that has more than 60 years of industry sales experience. The company serves more than 40,000 active merchants, with $3 billion in transactions.
“ISIS Direct, our newest sales entity, has grown beyond our expectations,” Norrie said. “For that reason, we’ve stepped up our recruiting to meet the demands. We’re looking to hire an additional 350 account consultants and 50 field managers this year.”
CPP has an administrative and support staff of nearly 300 people, currently housed in two buildings at separate locations. The new building is large enough to allow all three of the sales divisions, along with the extensive inside sales and support staff to be together in one location.

The new 80,000 square foot facility, just a few blocks from the current facility in Carrollton, will also include an extensive video production facilities which will be used to increase the number of online and digital training videos.
In addition, the new building will offer expanded space for ongoing training. There will be two 25-person training rooms, a 30-person training room and a 50-person training room, with full audio-visuals enhancements, including digital projectors. The long-term goal is to conduct onsite seminars and workshops, as well as produce quality online webinars and digital training materials on essential topics such as sales techniques, management skills, industry security and standards, and in-depth, continuing education on the many products and services offered by CPP’s sales divisions.
“We are committed to helping our team prosper and become successful,” says Norrie. “To do that, we will provide them with the best in introductory training to get them started out right as sales associates. Then, we want to have a wide array of on-going training opportunities to keep them informed and educated.”
