Linkage’s 2011 Leading Diversity Summit will take place this April 4th through 6th in Atlanta, Georgia. This year’s Summit will feature a new career advancement workshop, The Power of Efficacy for Under-Represented Employee Groups facilitated by Audra M. Bohannon. Ms. Bohannon is the Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion for Global Novations Group, Inc.
This new workshop was developed in response to research which indicates that only 21.7% of all management, professional, and related occupations are held by people of color. In addition, at Fortune 500 companies, women of color only hold 1.7% of corporate officer positions. Ultimately, organizations need to invest in the development of under-represented employee groups earlier in their careers to build a diverse leadership pipeline.
Linkage and Global Novations have partnered to deliver this unique workshop to empower participants to maximize their levels of contribution and acknowledge and to help organizations retain and engage valued employees. Participants will learn the foundations used in Global Novations’ Efficacy program. Efficacy is the critical mindset, skills, and strategies required to accelerate professional development, engage in critical dialogue related to high engagement and position one for success. The curriculum will also help participants increase their level of competence in the political and relational arenas to fast track their career development.
