New York, NY (Vocus/PRWEB) March 07, 2011
Kansas State University Foundation (KSUF), a university endowment, has selected SunGard’s Investran to help address its investment accounting, manager due diligence and reporting needs. Investran supports the entire investment lifecycle, from fundraising to portfolio monitoring and reporting, by automating front-, middle- and back-office processes for a real-time, end-to-end solution for private equity and alternative investment firms.
KSUF selected SunGard’s Investran to help streamline its investment operations by eliminating error prone processes associated with spreadsheets and disparate databases. Investran will help KSUF monitor current investments more efficiently by automating the accounting workflow and processes around portfolio monitoring, portfolio due diligence and performance reporting. With nearly $450M in assets under management, KSUF is well positioned to take on new complex investment structures though the use of Investran.
David Weaver, vice president for real estate and investments and chief investment officer of Kansas State University Foundation, said, “When looking for a solution to help manage our investment accounting and reporting needs it was imperative that we select a solution with robust functionality. SunGard’s Investran will help streamline our operations while providing greater transparency around our portfolio monitoring and reporting needs.”
Lauren Iaslovits, chief operating officer of SunGard’s Investran business unit, said, “Kansas State University Foundation joins a growing number of endowments that have selected SunGard’s Investran for their portfolio monitoring, client relationship management, investment accounting and reporting needs. Investran provides endowments with a fully integrated solution that helps them efficiently meet stringent accounting and reporting requirements.”
About KSU Foundation
The Kansas State University Foundation was established in 1944 as the official fundraising arm of Kansas State University. The foundation is a separate, independent organization chartered by the state of Kansas as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit education corporation. Gifts made to support K-State through the KSU Foundation are used according to the donor’s wishes, and may not be reallocated by the state. Gifts to the foundation are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
A volunteer board of trustees governs the foundation. A 15-member board of directors elected from the membership of the board meets quarterly and is authorized to act on the trustees’ behalf.
