ST Media Group International, a Cincinnati-based publisher of information products for the design, signage, and graphics industries, has redesigned Package Design magazine, a publication for the package design industry. Featuring a cover-to-cover upgrade including new departments, enhanced graphics, expanded case studies and a new products section, Package Design’s new look is a commitment to serve its readers more thoroughly and provide advertisers with an engaging platform for their message.

The redesigned print edition of Package Design covers the package design industry with content-rich editorial that is better organized and more accessible. Keeping the same popular topics in the mix, Package Design's new template has an openness that provides comfort for reading but creates anticipation with every page turn. Published ten times a year, Package Design is more of an evolving educational resource than magazine. The subscribers include 20,000 designers, packaging engineers, corporate and brand managers, and product developers.

Along with the makeover of the print edition, the companion website (packagedesignmag.com) features exclusive editorial content and a semi-monthly e-newsletter, eSolutions. The end result is an integration of print and online content unlike any in the industry.

Julie Okon, publisher, is responsible for brand development and sales efforts for the magazine. Working closely with design group director Kristin D. Zeit and editor-in-chief Ron Romanik, Okon will help develop the strategic direction for Package Design.

“By listening to our advertisers’ and readers’ comments, we wanted to bring a new energy to an already great product. We explored many exciting options to reinvent our concept,” says Okon. “We created a magazine that works like our readers work. It’s an engaging product that fosters open dialogue in the package design industry.”

Interested readers may subscribe by visiting packagedesignmag.com/subscribe or calling 800.421.1321 or 513.421.2050, ext. 0 (the magazine is free to qualified subscribers).
