ChannelAdvisor, a software and services solution provider that enables online retailers to sell more across e-commerce channels, announced today the addition of two new executives to its senior leadership team to support the company’s rapid growth. Noreen Allen has joined the company as vice president, global marketing from Hosted Solutions, and Ryan Walsh has been promoted to vice president of sales, North America, from his previous position as ChannelAdvisor’s director of enterprise sales.
“We just finished the strongest year in the company’s history,” said David Spitz, president and COO of ChannelAdvisor. “We substantially expanded our customer base, made significant investments in our platform—rolling out some very exciting new features—and logged record revenue in all three regions: North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. The company is poised for incredible global growth. This is the perfect time to expand our sales and marketing executive team to get us there. I’m thrilled to have Noreen and Ryan on board to further accelerate our performance in 2011 and beyond.”
Allen joins the ChannelAdvisor team after serving as vice president, marketing with Hosted Solutions, a leader in the cloud computing market that was acquired by Windstream Corp. in late 2010 for $310 million. With more than 15 years of experience in leadership positions for both private and publicly traded companies, Allen excels at building powerful, category-leading brands that transform companies at various stages. Prior to Hosted Solutions, Allen served as vice president of marketing for both Motricity and SpectraSite.
Ryan Walsh, previously the director of enterprise sales, has more than 10 years experience in the e-commerce industry. He’s been promoted to vice president of sales for North America with oversight of all sales organization activities including revenue generation and growth, as well as customer acquisition, expansion and retention.
“Ryan has been a major contributor on our sales team since ChannelAdvisor’s founding, closing some of our largest deals and building a great reputation in the industry. His new position will allow him to inspire and coach the sales force to a new level of success,” continued Spitz. “Noreen has an incredible track record with companies just like ChannelAdvisor – elevating the brand and positioning companies for substantial growth.”
“I couldn’t be more excited to join the ChannelAdvisor team,” Allen said. “We’ve got a great technology platform, a customer base of several thousand that includes the ‘who’s who’ of online retail and a team of the some of the smartest minds in e-commerce. The best part – we’re playing in a massive global market. There’s tremendous potential to grow this business even further and I’m looking forward to being a part of it.”
