One would never expect an enterprise making metal wheel hangers, to send a purchase order to a company that’s been selling rubber seals for 30 years. But that’s exactly what happened when Reverse Logic Limited connected with the Machined Metal Components Group at GBSA.
Reverse Logic makes a bolt guide for European cars. If you’ve ever tried to change a tire on a BMW, Audi or Porsche you know that the tire and wheel have to be held in place by hand until you attach the first lug bolt. Sometimes there’s a guide in the spare tire tools. More often, there’s not.
So, Reverse Logic developed a guide tool that eliminates the hard work of changing a tire. The guide screws into the threaded holes of the wheel hub and allows the driver to place the spare over the wheel hanger and attach the first lug bolt.
The Reverse Logic tool features a pilot tipped thread for easy hole alignment. The knurled end provides an ideal finger grip surface that is inset from the guide tip and eliminates damage to wheel finish.
GBSA manufactures four different sizes in both aluminum and stainless steel. The aluminum tools are ideal for emergencies while the stainless steel professional series are heavy-duty mechanics tools that can stand-up to the rigors of everyday use.
The guide tools come in different colors. “They’re coded by thread size,” says Walt Ritzu , Engineer at GBSA. “It makes identifying the right tool so much easier.”
GBSA also manufactures Jack-Pads tools for Reverse Logic. Jack-Pads are a tool used beneath the car. They’re pressed into one of four places where the tire jack is positioned and it
eliminates damage to the undercarriage or side-skirt when using a floor jack.
Says Fred Gwynn, President of Reverse Logic, “GBSA does a really super job of producing these products for us. And it’s very intricate, particularly with regard to the Jack-Pad tools, because there are a lot of small parts that have to fit together perfectly.”
“We saw an opportunity for Machined Metal Components and took full advantage if it,” says Judy Pratt, General Manager of GBSA. “We can deliver quality components from aluminum, stainless, brass and even carbon steel. And we can provide them in a variety of popular finishes,” continued Pratt.
For over thirty years, GBSA has been a leading supplier of molded rubber parts, plastic, ceramic and metal stamping services that are engineered to stand up to even the toughest conditions. Our pledge is to deliver quality parts, on-time and on budget.
