Egyptian Americans Invite Texans to Celebrate the People Who Risked Everything to Revive Freedom and Democracy In Egypt, and to Promote Awareness About the Breathtaking Events That Occurred There and the Work Left to Do to Complete The Revolution

WHAT: “CELEBRATING FREEDOM – EGYPTIAN STYLE”, a four-hour free event with a multi-media stage program, concession booths, live music, dance, jokes, and plenty of general merriment.

WHEN: Saturday, March 26, 2011, 5-9 p.m.

WHERE: Anheuser-Busch Stage at Discovery Green
             1500 McKinney Street, Houston

WHY: Recent events in Egypt and elsewhere have filled millions of hearts with fresh hope for freedom and democracy in the world. This event was organized to celebrate these unique events and honor the people who fought and died to make them happen.

COST: Attendance is free to the public. Paid food, drink and other concession options will be available, including shirt sales and face painting.

The Egyptian American Society is a social, cultural, non-sectarian and non-profit organization. The main goals of the Society are to consolidate and strengthen the ties and resources of the Egyptian-Americans in the Houston community and its vicinity, and to perpetuate Egyptian culture among the Egyptian-Americans in the State of Texas.
