An illuminative work of a mature poet will surely delight and inspire readers as author Brad Moschetti releases, through Xlibris, Heart of the Prisoner. True to its name, this reflective anthology reveals the profound emotions and sentiments of a man who, despite behind bars, bares his soul for the world to see.
“Prison changes a man—your heart hardens, your spirit crushed,” says Moschetti. “You lose your independence and freedom of choice. So I dug deep, found the inspiration I needed, and wrote these poems from the heart of the prisoner.”
Brad Moschetti was incarcerated for nine years and displays the inner workings of his heart, mind, and soul in this poetry collection. His poems are both reflective and thoughtful, in that he can look out at the world around him, and bring it inside, where he twists it around within the realm of the personal and the emotional. Containing passionate writing about diverse subjects and themes, this collection offers insight into the devastating life of the prisoner, the author’s love for his family, as well as his love for a woman, through various moods and styles.
With over one hundred pages of deeply felt poetry, Heart of the Prisoner reminds readers to be serious with one’s actions and to appreciate the blessings received in life before they are taken away. Furthermore, Moschetti hopes that between the pages of his stirring composition, readers may find inspiration and joy.
This book will be featured at the 2011 London Book Fair in London, England, on April 11-13, 2011. For more information on this book, interested parties may log on to http://www.Xlibris.com.
