Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, one of Orlando, Florida’s premier resorts, is pleased to announce the completion of the resort’s second phase of a $54 million renovation.

The legendary resort completed its extensive transformation with a modern restyling of all 65,000 square feet of meeting space. The meeting space has been restyled to have a more modern feel and serve as an extension of the guest tower renovations that were completed in December of 2009.    The design focus was to lighten up the space to portray a more updated and contemporary look. The entire meeting space is brighter, fresher, more open and inviting. All of the remaining wood millwork has been replaced with walnut doors.

The meeting room carpet was replaced with a new bright vibrant plush hue showcasing the impressive space with textured puff panels covering the walls and iridescent paneled curtains draped throughout the ballroom for an elegant finish. Colorful modern artwork has been placed throughout the meeting space and all new light fixtures were added with a more minimal and architectural look. Upon arriving in the ballroom area, sculptural accents were added on the walls in an iridescent blue finish.

All of the hotel and meeting room signage has been converted to digital LCD screens.    The latest in green lighting technology, Lutron dimmer systems, have been installed in all meeting rooms. The system is fully computerized to schedule lighting around scheduled events which then equals energy savings. In our exhibit hall, VFD drives were installed on all air handling units to run the air conditioning at a lower percentage as needed which will reduce overall energy consumption.
