CivicSource.com Platform to Aid in the Collection of Delinquent Tax Revenue

From 8am CST March 15th through 5pm March 17th, 2011, the St. Mary Parish Government will host an adjudicated property sale online at civicsource.com. The sale is open to the general public. Registration is free and interested parties may register online at civicsource.com, where a current list of properties offered is now available. Parish leaders believe hosting the sale online will lead to increased participation by bidders, which in turn will have a positive impact on local tax revenues.

Adjudicated properties are those properties that have outstanding delinquent taxes and failed to sell in previous tax sales. The Adjudication Sale is a high-bid wins style auction in which the winning purchaser receives a Non-Warranty Cash Sale Certificate for the property from the Parish.

Winning bidders are expected to pay for their purchases within 72 hours of the close of the auction. Payment must be made in one installment and all sales are final.
