Our customers at On the Beach find that these advantages, combined with Spain’s beautiful weather and beaches, make it an unbeatable holiday spot.
(Vocus/PRWEB) 16 March 2011
A recent report from the World Economic Forum has given Spanish tourism and travel high marks regarding its potential for future development. The foundation ranked countries based upon factors that make them the “most attractive environments” for businesses and for governments looking to develop their travel and tourism sectors. British holidaymakers’ favourite Spain placed eighth on this table which included 139 countries. Leading online travel agency On the Beach believe that this is an excellent indicator that the tourist infrastructure in this country will only improve over the coming years.
Alistair Daly, Marketing Director of On the Beach, comments: “This is exciting news for the many British tourists who enjoy heading to Spain, as it shows that the travel and tourism sector there is likely to become even more developed.”
The World Economic Forum took into account three broad categories when making its ranking: policy and areas of improvement for which the government is responsible; the business environment; and human, cultural and natural elements. The report lauded Spain for its cultural richness and excellent infrastructure. Other European destinations also fared well as 14 of the top 20 countries hailed from the area.
Daly states that the report highlights some of the reasons for Spain’s enduring popularity with British tourists. He comments: “This country’s excellent infrastructure and culture attract a huge number of British travellers every year. Our customers at On the Beach find that these advantages, combined with Spain’s beautiful weather and beaches, make it an unbeatable holiday spot.”
Daly concludes that this analysis from the World Economic Forum is positive news for people looking to come to Spain on seaside holidays. He states: “Spain is clearly one of the most appealing destinations in the world – this report shows that the government and business community is committed to investing in this sector, so we can expect it to become an ever better place for a holiday. This is exciting news for the many British people who go this country for some seaside relaxation.”
