Now employees can take the initiative, research their own education, and send their bosses the bill!
(Vocus/PRWEB) March 15, 2011
CoursePark, the world’s preeminent online social learning network, is proud to announce the launch of its new “My Boss will Pay” program, allowing employees everywhere to further their skill sets and careers by taking advantage of company training allowances. The new “My Boss will Pay” functionality allows employees to select from one of CoursePark’s thousands of premium courses and literally send the bill to their boss.
“We think this is a first for corporate learning and we’re confident it will benefit both employees and managers,” said Product Manager, Tim Brown. “Every boss has the best of intentions, but managing learning programs can be hard. Now employees can take the initiative, research their own education, and send their bosses the bill!”
Launched in late February, CoursePark’s CourseMarket offers thousands of eLearning courses to both businesses and individuals worldwide. Topics range from how to use desktop applications, to leadership skills, to health and safety. With the new “get your boss to pay” button, students can now send an email request to their manager asking that the company cover the expense of work-related courses. Employers have the option to approve and pay for the request, effectively enrolling the student in the course; approve the request and instruct the student to pay for the course and expense it; or reject the request.
“We are constantly looking for ways to make education more accessible,” added Product Manager, Tim Brown. “The “get your boss to pay” option ultimately benefits both the employee and the boss – employees get to learn on their company’s dime, while employers benefit from better educated staff who feel well-treated by a company that cares about their interests and learning needs.”
