Tell us what the craziest thing is you've ever done for a chance to win £400 of experience day vouchers and raise funds for Comic Relief
(PRWEB UK) 17 March 2011
Experience Mad, the largest provider of experience days online, is launching its HOW MAD ARE YOU competition to find out about the craziest things people have done in their lives. Inspired by the amazing efforts of fundraisers across the country in aid of Comic Relief such as Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton's tightrope walk between the chimneys of Battersea Power Station in London and Chris Moyle's attempt to break the record for the longest radio show, we decided to ask the general public what the craziest thing is they've ever done and make a donation to Comic Relief based on the number of competition entries.
In a 140 character, Twitter-style contest, entrants simply need to complete the phrase “The maddest thing I've ever done is...”. The winner can choose from any of the experiences available on the Experience Mad website up to a value of £400 inclusive - from driving thrills to a spa day and everything in between.
The competition closes on 30 April 2011 and the winner will be the individual with the most amusing, unusual or genuine act of madness, as judged by the Experience Mad panel. More information about the How Mad Are You competition is available at: http://www.experiencemad.co.uk/competition/
Steve Clark at Experience Mad commented: “Seeing Helen edging her way across the highwire 200ft above London made us realise there are some really crazy people out there, so we decided to embark on a competition to find out what other people have done in their lives which is pretty mad and contribute something to the charity that inspired us, Comic Relief. We’re expecting everything from quite serious responses to the utterly insane - anything and everything goes.”
“went through the 10 items of less lane at the supermarket with 11 items in my basket"
"put my head in a real lion's mouth",
"didn't tell my parents what time I'd be home, although I was 30 years old at the time",
"ran into a burning building to rescue a puppy"
All text speak and clever abbreviations are acceptable as long as they can be interpreted.
If the winner craves fast cars and speed, they’ll love a driving day. Many of them offer the opportunity to try different super cars or classic cars or if you are feeling more adventurous then check out the jcb racing and tank paintball battles. Other popular options include off road driving in 4x4s and rally driving.
If relaxing is more the name of the winner’s game, then they’ll love our spa days. Depending on their choice of location they will be pampered and unwind with full use of facilities including pool, steam room and sauna and enjoy a range of treatments.
But the winner need not be limited by more traditional experience days. If they really want to try something new they may consider the Spy Academy, a recording studio session, coasteering or an offshore powerboating adventure.
