As with any organization, strategic decisions begin with the leadership – whether related to IT Asset Management or to government regulation. The single most difficult challenge faced by IT asset managers is the failure to obtain senior buy-in for a comprehensive, ongoing IT asset management program. Oftentimes, only select areas of ITAM are looked at and IT asset managers are cobbling together a program with limited resources. This usually occurs when some crisis occurs, i.e. failing a software audit, end of lease problems, etc.

A panel of experts will discuss how to communicate with the C-level and decision makers in order to get buy-in on your program. Topics to be discussions:

  •     Understanding the challenges CIOs face
  •     How to speak with/like a C-level executive
  •     How to open up a consistent communication channel with the C-Suite
