CPAmerica International, a national association of independent CPA firms that provides shared best practices, networking opportunities and access to expert resources to member firms, has launched its 2011 schedule of exclusive national conferences.
“Our exclusive events are a principal benefit of CPAmerica membership,” said Alan E. Deichler, president of CPAmerica. “They offer an incredible chance for members to connect and build professional relationships that lead to greater firm opportunities.”
The planned events for 2011 include:
- Marketing Roundtable, Chicago, June 7
- Accounting & Auditing Conference, with ERISA and Yellowbook Preconference Opportunities, Las Vegas, June 21-24
- Technology Roundtable, Las Vegas, June 22-24
- Firm Administration Roundtable and Leading Partners Retreat, Boston, September 20-23
- Tax Conference, Scottsdale, Ariz., November 2-4
The events bring together association members from across the country who learn from nationally acclaimed speakers for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) and participate in sharing sessions led by member facilitators.
“In my conversations with our member firms, the tax partners have told me how much they value the excellent speakers they hear at our tax conference,” said Linda Harding, director of tax at CPAmerica. “Another primary reason they value this conference is the time they have to get to know other members and their areas of expertise.”
CPAmerica conferences connect members who are able to network extensively and share practice management ideas freely, since membership in the association requires market exclusivity.
“They develop long-term relationships which are invaluable to them professionally and personally,” Harding said.
Conference sessions and speakers are chosen based on member feedback to ensure the events are tailored specifically to attendees.
“The speakers this year are excellent. The topics have been put together based on the responses of members of the CPAmerica accounting and auditing community,” said Art Winstead, director of accounting and auditing for CPAmerica.
