“We looked at the options for lunch in Boothbay Harbor during the summer season and decided to create a relaxed place to savor our gorgeous view, the sunshine and Chef Stiles' flair with the famed flavors of Maine like lobsters and summer blueberries."
Boothbay Harbor, ME (Vocus/PRWEB) March 18, 2011
Spruce Point Inn on the edge of Boothbay Harbor is recognized as one of the top dining spots along the Maine coast. Chef Peter Stiles turns Maine seafood, locally grown produce and herbs from the Inn’s own garden into both traditional “down east” favorites and innovative dishes showcasing lobsters, summer blueberries and farmstand vegetables. Recognized by national publications, the Inn has won two Gold Medals, a Silver and two People’s Choice awards in the Maine Lobster Promotion Council’s annual “Most Creatively Prepared Lobster Dish” competition and will be participating in the 2011 contest.
This summer, Spruce Point Inn showcases its fantastic view of the coast, lighthouses and ocean-bound boats with the debut of Deck, an umbrella-shaded, oceanside café, open daily for lunch. Opening in late June 2011, Deck is the Inn’s highly anticipated new addition to Boothbay Harbor’s luncheon scene, serving club lunch favorites, whether a crab salad and a chilled pinot grigio or a classic lobster roll with a local craft beer, plus familiar children’s favorites. Deck will be open daily, 11-2
“We looked at the options for lunch in Boothbay Harbor during the summer season and decided to create a relaxed place that showcases our gorgeous view, the sunshine and Chef Stiles' flair with the famed flavors of Maine like lobsters and summer blueberries that draw so many visitors to our coast,” said Angelo DiGiulian, innkeeper for Spruce Point Inn. “We know our great location and Chef Stiles are already making fond oceanside memories for our guests. We expect that Deck will quickly become a popular and relaxing family-friendly spot for enjoying a Maine coast afternoon in the sunshine; and with our own dock, pick-up moorings and launch service, Deck makes the perfect lunch spot for boaters, too.”
Spruce Point Inn and Chef Stiles are already noted for the main dining room 88, serving Maine Coast Cuisine in a bright and casually elegant space in the historic Main Inn with views of the approaches to Boothbay Harbor; and for Bogie’s, a casual bistro in a clubbier space with copper-topped tables and the convivial atmosphere of a New England tavern. 88 serves breakfast and dinner Bogie’s pub menu is offered from 6 to 9 pm (the adjacent lounge opens daily at 5 pm).
