Author Joy Reid delivers her sequel to Annie Butcher’s Jigsaw in Annie Tries Not To and Annie’s Casebook (published by Trafford Publishing), which includes two of the author’s signature stories.

Readers are reintroduced to Annie Butcher, a British school teacher who always seems to find herself in the middle of peculiar situations. In Annie Tries Not To and Annie’s Casebook, Annie’s instinct to piece unrelated events together once again proves useful in solving the mysteries at hand.

In the first book of this two-part sequel, Annie Tries Not To, Annie unintentionally falls into another crime-solving spree when a Kenyan student goes missing and Annie inadvertently uncovers evidence that may solve the case. After deciding to travel to Kenya on holiday, she discovers the missing girl’s father is fighting a corruption scandal – a discovery that may put her own life in danger.

In the second book, Annie’s Casebook, Annie returns home only to slip on a sheet of ice and break her leg. Mystery seems to follow Annie wherever she goes and soon Annie is drawn into a suspicious plot at the medical facility where she is recovering. When her friend, Chief Inspector Neil LaCoste, shows concern for Annie, mystery mingles with romance.

Set in England and East Africa, Annie Tries Not To and Annie’s Casebook is an exciting sequel.
