With LogFire's on-demand (SaaS) WMS, Prolimit expands its reach in extreme sports retailing across Latin America

It’s been tough to find solutions that can keep pace with our growth, but we feel LogFire’s on-demand WMS is one solution that can do so.

LogFire, a global provider of supply chain software and services for retail and consumer goods companies, today announced that Prolimit, the largest extreme sports retailer in Latin America, has gone live with LogFire’s new on-demand (SaaS) warehouse management system (WMS). The system was implemented in less than four weeks at the company’s 32,300 square foot distribution center located in Santiago, Chile.

Prolimit represents over 60 brands, including DC, Rusty, Volcom, Etnies, Es, Emerica, Fox, and currently has more than 50 locations across Chile. The company is also preparing to open new locations in Peru.

According to Gonzalo Aluz, General Manager/COO for Prolimit, “The popularity of extreme sports –everything from skateboard to surfing and snowboard – has enjoyed immense growth over the past decade. It’s been tough to find solutions that can keep pace with our growth, but we feel LogFire’s on-demand WMS is one solution that can do so. In just four short weeks, we were able to get this solution up and running and begin benefiting from the breadth and depth of a Tier 1 WMS solution.”

“Its exciting to contribute to Prolimit’s explosive growth,” said LogFire Founder and CEO, Diego Pantoja-Navajas. “And to also be a partner with them as they expand into other markets. With total inventory visibility from warehouse to store, and a more efficient supply chain, the sky is the limit for Prolimit, and LogFire plans to partner with them every step of the way.”

Several LogFire clients, including Ripley Corp S.A., one of the largest retailers in Chile and Peru, are also currently benefiting from the company’s new on-demand (SaaS) WMS. Unlike traditional warehouse management solutions, LogFire’s WMS is available as an on-demand service (SaaS) or a hosted solution. The system offers all the benefits of typical WMS solutions, in addition to sophisticated retail functionality including the ability to execute value-added services and manage reverse logistics.
