Mark Seglem, CEO of Advanced Distributed Sensor Systems, Inc. (ADSS), recently announced that Tony C. Williams has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development. Mr. Williams will lead the effort to broaden the use of the company’s remote and portable situational awareness sensor technology in defense, homeland security, and force protection sectors and introduce it into new areas such as emergency and hazmat response, wind energy, maritime, and traffic weather systems.
“I’m very excited to join ADSS and begin working with the team here to bring this remarkable technology to untapped markets in the U.S. and abroad,” said Williams. “This is a dynamic and growing company and we’re poised to take it to a higher level very quickly.”
Mr. Williams has served in a number of senior positions in the U.S. Department of Defense and other U.S. government agencies. As a U.S. Army Reserve Officer and military engineer, he advised on weapons of mass destruction consequence management and conflict threat detection and reduction. Most recently, Williams was Chief International Officer at HNTB Companies, Inc., a Kansas City based international architecture, engineering, and planning firm. Prior to that, he was a Vice President and International Operations Director at CH2M Hill, Inc., responsible for business development activities for major international clients.
Additionally, Seglem announced that two distinguished retired naval officers have joined the ADSS Board of Advisors: Captain Frank J. Lugo, USN (Ret) and Rear Admiral Jay M. Cohen, USN (Ret). Seglem said, “These two leaders bring a wealth of knowledge and experience. Both are proven professionals in the military, government service, and private industry. Under Secretary Cohen’s experience as the Director of Naval Research and then as Under Secretary of Homeland Security will be invaluable in pointing ADSS in the right direction when it comes to opportunities in the federal government. Captain Lugo’s success in helping grow Whitney, Bradley, and Brown to an almost a $100 million dollar company will prove essential to ADSS’ future growth and success.”
