Italian Automaker, FIAT, brings it's completely renewed brand back to several US markets, including an exclusive location in the Baltimore-metro region.

Heritage Auto Group, a division of MileOne Automotive, is excited to announce the opening of their newest dealership in Baltimore. Heritage FIAT will open this spring and will join thirteen other Heritage dealerships location in the Baltimore region. Heritage Auto Group gladly welcomes back the FIAT brand to the US. The Italian car has been absent from the US market for 27 years, but is launching the revamped brand stateside in 2011.

Heritage FIAT will be located at 11216 Reisterstown Rd, Owings Mills, MD, 21117 in the former building of Heritage Saturn of Owings Mills. Remodeling of the building has begun on the dealership – or “studio” in FIAT lingo - to fit in line with the FIAT brand image. This location will be one of a select few to open in Maryland, and will be the only FIAT dealership in the Baltimore-metro area, making it an exclusive destination for the import. The minicar will arrive at up to 50 dealers by the end of April and 130 dealers by year's end. Heritage FIAT will host a grand opening event for the new franchise later on this summer.

The vehicle model making its comeback is the FIAT 500– a small, retro-styled coupe. This body style has been in production since 2007 in Europe and has been a hit. The small and sporty car gets EPA mileage ratings of 38 mpg highway, 30 city and 33 in combined driving with the five-speed manual transmission. The fuel-efficiency is sure to grab the attention of drivers as fuel costs continue to rise. City drivers will appreciate the compact size and ease of parking as well.

Prices for the 500 will start at $15,500 for the base model called the Pop. The biggest seller is expected to be the midlevel Sport model that starts at $17,500. The more highly equipped model, the Lounge, has a $19,500-to-start version that includes 15-inch aluminum wheels, automatic transmission and a sunroof. The 500 will come with a four-year or 50,000-mile, bumper-to-bumper warranty. Routine maintenance is included for three years. Visit http://www.heritagefiat.com for more information.
