Impressed by Xocolatti’s gourmet chocolate, Food Emporium immediately placed two orders to begin selling Xocolatti chocolate this week at two locations in New York City.
Shaineal Shah, founder of Xocolatti, took a cold call as he sent samples of his chocolate to Food Emporium, a fine food company located in NYC. The result left Shah pleased as his handmade gourmet chocolate resulted in success.
“This is a very exciting time for Xocolatti and we are very happy to have our chocolates in Food Emporium. Our truffles and chocolates are all handmade and we feel that our product is a perfect match for the gourmet chocolate shop at Food Emporium," said Shah.
While growing up, Shah spent much time in the kitchen making meals and creative desserts for his family. Although his family is in the jewelry business, Shah wanted to expand his creativity with food. In 2009 he began Xocolatti, a gourmet chocolate business. Located in New York, Shah hand creates gourmet chocolate truffles and slates. He refers to his chocolate as art, in which he leaves each piece with a unique appearance. His chocolates are meant to please the senses.
Shah said that hand making each box of chocolates takes approximately two days. They sell truffles by the box, and slates are sold by the pound. He packages his products artistically to add a visual appeal.
Xocolatti gourmet chocolate will be sold at Food Emporium, located on 405E 59th Street (1st Ave) and at 1175 Third Ave (68th Street). Shah and his company will also be featured in the April issue of “Cooking Light” magazine in the “Editor’s Dozen” section.
