IRv3 provides a fully integrated Aviation SMS, complete with customized SMS Manual, event investigation and internal audit procedures, web-based hazard reporting, email alerts, reference library, memo system, and SMS e-learning courses.

OAG’s award-winning Incident Reporter SMS Database has been redesigned to align with ICAO’s SMS Framework and current IS-BAO, Transport Canada, and FAA requirements, including those of FAA’s SMS Assurance Guide. Incident Reporter version 3 (IRv3) is currently in beta-testing and is scheduled for release in May of 2011.

IRv3’s primary navigation is now based on familiar SMS components of Safety Policy, Safety Risk Management, Safety Assurance, and Safety Promotion, under which various SMS processes are performed, according to Paul Salerno, President of OAG. “Incident Reporter also aligns with our SMS Manual and supporting programs,” states Salerno. “IRv3 provides a fully integrated aviation Safety Management System, complete with customized SMS Manual, event investigation and internal audit procedures, web-based hazard reporting, email alerts, reference library, forced-receipt memo system, and SMS e-learning courses.”

Online SMS training, manuals, audit checklists and safety promotion communications are all accessible from directly within the IRv3 database, including third-party web resources used for maintenance control and flight risk assessment, for example. “Much of IRv3’s navigation and behavior is user-defined,” continues Salerno, “...and dashboards are configurable to suit the safety culture and working style of the organization.”

Unlike other web-based Safety Management Systems, OAG clients each have their own separate and secure database. This allows OAG to host a client’s SMS database, or easily configure and transfer the database and data, allowing clients to host their database internally, on their own servers.

Incident Reporter is suitable for use by corporate flight departments, commercial operators, airlines, airports, flight schools, repair stations, FBOs and other aviation service providers. Incident Reporter is now in use by more than 80 aviation service providers, worldwide.
