Available in online bookstores since October 25, 2010, this book tells a charming and witty tale that will surely captivate grammar school-age children and adults. It is filled with lovable characters, witty dialogue, and an endearing storyline that make it a perfect addition to anyone’s bookshelf.
In The Adventures of ICKLE, PACKY, PICKLE and GOOCH, readers will follow the four grammar school–age boys growing up in the late 1920s in their mischievous and hilarious adventures. The good, not-so-good, and hilarious situations the four boys became involved with on a day-to-day basis are insights into what city boys did to keep themselves busy during school days, after school was out for the summer, and on weekends in Berwyn, Illinois. Lacking the many entertainment forms of modern society, the young boys spent much of their time roaming the city streets and parks, riding the elevated train, finding other forms of entertainment, and sometimes seeking scary adventures.
Filled with more than twenty adventurous exploits, this book will surely provide readers a unique way to fun and excitement. Designed for grammar school–age readers as well as adults, The Adventures of ICKLE, PACKY, PICKLE and GOOCH may also provide a window for the senior adults for looking back on their own experiences growing up in the late 1920s and the early Depression years of the 1930s.
This book is available in trade paperback, trade hardback, and Ebook formats. For more information on this book, interested parties may log on to http://www.Xlibris.com.
