AAE introduces the DONKEY Video Tower as an enhancement to its DONKEY Portable Press Boxes. DONKEYS are elevated scoring centers that can be moved among multiple fields and sports that integrate optional on-field storage and penalty bench for lacrosse, soccer, field hockey and other sports. The DONKEY Video Tower extends its functionality by offering an even higher platform to video games and practices while adding a designated referee area underneath.

“The DONKEY on its own is popular because it’s a portable press box..." states Tom Syron, Director of Sales. "But the addition of the video tower makes it the ultimate, self-contained media and scoring center."

AAE (Aluminum Athletic Equipment Co.), manufacturer of top-quality athletic equipment, introduces the DONKEY Video Tower as its most recent accessory in its popular DONKEY family of products. The Video Tower, connected to a DONKEY-2 Portable Press Box with Storage, was showcased at the annual Pennsylvania Athletic Directors Conference in Hershey, PA to show coaches and athletic directors firsthand the advantages of this new product.

“We’ve heard a really positive response from coaches so far,” states Tom Syron, AAE Director of Sales. “The DONKEY on its own is popular because it’s a portable press box that can be shared by multiple fields and teams. But the addition of the video tower makes it the ultimate, self-contained media and scoring center.”

The DONKEY Video Tower is not a stand-alone product - it must be bolted to either a DONKEY-1 (non-storage model) or a DONKEY-2 (storage model). The DONKEY Video Tower is constructed out of the same structural aluminum frame as the DONKEY, but raised an additional 4’ to offer an optimum viewing height of 12’6”. It also transforms the space below the platform into a designated referee area with integrated bench.

Since inventing and patenting the aluminum rocker hurdle in 1950 for the track marketplace, AAE has introduced a multitude of new products for use by coaches and athletes worldwide. With the use of advanced technology and design innovations, the firm makes over 500 items, including: track hurdles; track starting blocks; discus cages; pole vault pits; high jump pits; long jump pits; permanent, portable, hinged or rotating football goal posts; semi-permanent or portable soccer goals; field hockey goals; lacrosse goals; baseball batting cages; baseball foul poles; ball stopper protective sports netting; portable press boxes; team benches; portable bleachers and Kronum goals.
