Biomix Soil Conditioner has earned Environmentally Preferable Product (EPP) certification from leading third party auditor Scientific Certification Systems (SCS).

Biomix is an innovative agricultural fertilizing agent that utilizes microorganisms to deliver nutrients to crops from soil and compost. It increases crop yields while producing less pollution than traditional fertilizers.

“This certification proves that Biomix exceeds the environmental performance of traditional fertilizers. This could be an historic product because it increases crop yields while lowering impacts,” said Stan Rhodes, CEO of SCS.

The EPP Certification will help Biomix appeal to organic and nonorganic farmers who wish to decrease the environmental impacts associated with their fertilizers.

SCS has a long history in the sustainable agriculture field and the EPP Certification of an innovative product like Biomix represents a milestone for the company.

The certification required Biomix to demonstrate lower impacts than a typical product over the entire life cycle of the product without significant environmental trade-offs. The EPP Certification covers Biomix-I™ and Biomix-V™ products used on wheat, sugarcane, potato, maize and other crops.
