"The most important prophecy is the self-fulfilling one. By focusing human consciousness on an image of world healing - by imagining world healing - we may create a template that reality will fill in through our collective future actions.

Overland Park, KS (PRWEB) April 14, 2011 -- Battling cancer, the Founders of World Healing Day are still working to focus human consciousness on global healing -- even as Bill Douglas and his wife Angela traveled to Mexico in their own struggle for healing for Bill's cancer surgery, because he'd been unable to afford health insurance ... they were still driven to continue organizing World Healing Day 2011, which will unfold across the planet in only days from now.
Mass events will be held in cities all over the world at 10 am. Over 1,000 are expected to participate in Havana, Cuba. Past events have included over 2,000 in Victoria Park in Hong Kong; 2,000 in Brasilia, Brasil; 2,000 in Los Angeles, 2,000 in Central Park, etc. Past events have been held at the United Nations Building in NY, the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo, Norway, and throughout cities worldwide. All events are free and open to the public. http://www.WorldHealingDay.org
World Healing Day and World Tai Chi Day events have been covered by:
The New York Times; CNN; FOX News; USA Weekend; Parade Magazine; The International Herald Tribune; The South China Morning Post; German Int'l Radio; BBC World Radio, and media worldwide.
Before organizing World Healing Day, over a decade ago, Bill & Angela Douglas, began organizing a global healing event, World Tai Chi Day, with two purposes. 1) to educate the world about mind-body practices that Bill's father, who'd suffered his entire life with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome from his years in combat, had found peace in practicing, and 2) to bring the world together to create a vision of global healing.
Bill realized that if the mind had the power to help his father let go of ghosts he'd carried his entire life ... it can help the world let go of its past traumas and move into a future of hope and limitless possibility ... IF WE COLLECTIVELY ENVISION IT.
Over the years of globally organizing an event who's motto is "One World ... One Breath," because it brought people together year after year across racial, religious, ethnic, and geopolitical borders, to wrap our planet in a wave of healing intention - it gave birth to a larger world event - WORLD HEALING DAY.
World Healing Day's goal: To focus human consciousness on a vision of global healing.
World Healing Day events can take many forms:
World Yoga Day, http://www.WorldYogaDay.org
World Tai Chi & Qigong Day, http://www.WorldTaiChiDay.org
World Prayer Day, http://www.WorldPrayerDay.org
World Art Day, http://www.WorldArtDay.org
World Native & Aboriginal Sacred Dance day
World Music Healing Day
World Reiki Day
World Healing Meditation Day
World Thespian Day
World Sufi Dance Day
and more at http://www.WorldHealingDay.org
Two studies caught the attention of World Healing Day organizers:
THE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH:
1) MIND OVER MATTER: Research from the Global Consciousenss Project, born from earlier research at Princeton University, found that when human consciousness is focused en masse, like during Princess Diana's Death, it actually physically changed their computers worldwide. Human consciousness effected the physical world!
2) Other research in Washington DC found that when a small percentage of human beings harmonized their consciousness, it had a positive impact on the entire city.
World Healing Day's goal of focusing human consciousness en masse on global healing took on even more meaning in light of this.
World Healing Day will unfold on the last Saturday of April (each year). On Saturday, April 30th, 2011, at 10 am local time, mass and small groups will gather in hundreds of cities at 10 am local time, worldwide. Their goal - to wrap the planet in wave of healing intention, while creating an image of global unity as people come together across racial, ethnic, religious, and geopolitical boundaries to hold World Healing Day events in their many forms.
The largest of the events this year will be World Tai Chi & Qigong Day, http://www.WorldTaiChiDay.org, which is the mother of World Healing Day. But, as this event has grown, its concept voiced in its motto "One World ... One Breath" captured the imagination of people worldwide, and they too wanted to participate in wrapping the planet in a wave of healing intent.
So World Healing Day can also include World Yoga Day events, World Reiki Day events, World Prayer Day events, World Native & Aboriginal Sacred Dance Day events, World Art Day Events, World Music Healing Day events where musicians worldwide can perform or organize events to focus themselves and their listeners on global healing.
The World Healing Day directory is not yet operational, but you can view events that will be held in countries around the world at http://www.WorldTaiChiDay.org where you click on "Events" in the menu listings.
