Mydeo has renewed its relationship with Limelight Networks (NASDAQ:LLNW) to provide European small business customers with a more flexible way of accelerating their web content via Limelight media delivery and web application acceleration services.

Mydeo’s SaaS (software-as-a-service) offering, http://www.mydeo.com, offers a number of benefits to the small business customer requiring the high performance and reliable delivery of Limelight’s CDN services. These include lower minimum throughput plans, instant online account set up and free trial, no setup costs, no minimum contract terms and free premium reporting. Mydeo supports all major file formats and offers users the choice of streaming or HTTP delivery.

“The service is aimed at small businesses with the same needs as the large corporations, i.e. requiring high quality media delivery to increase their website performance, run rich campaigns, build brands and boost sales, but with lower data throughput requirements,” commented Mydeo’s Founder and CEO, Cary Marsh. “It helps them overcome some of the technical difficulties associated with delivering high resolution media files on their websites such as poor delivery and reduced site performance. By incorporating Limelight’s CDN services into Mydeo’s services bundle, video and other rich media files are delivered effortlessly, allowing the website to remain fully engaged with the customer.”

“Limelight’s web acceleration capabilities, combined with Mydeo’s software, provide small and large businesses alike access to a robust, cloud-based platform designed to quickly deliver media across a variety of websites,” said George Fraser, Limelight Networks Vice President of Sales, EMEA. “Site speed and fast load times of rich media and video files help foster user engagement and loyalty.”

“We chose Limelight Networks as the CDN powering our bundled solution due to its unmatched flexibility, scalability and reliability. We will continue to use the Limelight Networks CDN for media delivery in our next software release, which will be built out on Microsoft’s Windows Azure platform, due out at the end of Q2 2011,” commented Marsh.
