The famed slogan, “Got Milk?”, sparked a nation-wide hype for milk consumption in the 90’s and defined a fun, hip image of the dairy industry with a simple question that is still remembered today. National window tinting franchise, Tint World® is taking a similar approach with a recent trademark for the slogan, “Got Tint?®”
The new slogan was actually inspired by Tint World® customers who would continually walk into Tint World® centers and ask “do you got tint?” The similarity to the popular milk campaign was undeniable, and the phrase became an inside joke shared between Tint World® representatives and customers. The phrase eventually became so popularly used around Tint World® centers, it was decided that the phase would be trademarked, officially linking the phrase to Tint World, and encouraging customers to have fun accentuating their favorite Tint World® request.
Tint World applied for the trademark name and mark, GOT TINT?® in 2008 and was awarded the registered trademark in 2010 by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, making Tint World® LLC the official registered trademark holder. Other tint shops and suppliers have attempted to infringe on the Got Tint? slogan, and Tint World® has tenaciously pursued all infringements with cease and desist notices. The slogan is planned to play a large role in Tint World®’s future advertising efforts, and will be a fun way for customers to interact with Tint World® representatives.
