Veterans Advantage announced that it launched its social media pages on Facebook and Twitter to provide another outlet for members, as well as their families, so they may receive timely benefit updates that are important to them, while also actively participating in a unique community of those who have served our country.

Followers of the Veterans Advantage Facebook and Veterans Advantage Twitter profiles can learn about new and exciting partnerships that join the Veterans Advantage Card Program, stay on top of topical news items of interest to fellow Veterans, and receive instructions and examples of the real benefits Veterans Advantage members can access while being a part of the program.

“We are excited to bring these Internet tools to our members as another resource for accessing the benefits they deserve, while also providing a rich, real-time experience,” said H. Scott Higgins, CEO & Founder of Veterans Advantage, and former Army 1st Lieutenant. “And based on the popularity of our Founder’s blog, which we launched in 2008, we believe these additional social media channels are a natural extension of what services our members enjoy with Veterans Advantage.”

The company prides itself on producing a broad range of media offerings for a robust member experience. For instance, on top of these new offerings, Veterans Advantage Card members are mailed a Welcome Kit and unique, personalized Member ID card for benefits access, and receive entry to a password-protected Members Only Web site, Benefit Alerts’ newsletters with unique editorial content, and toll-free phone support.

“Especially for our new members, or those who are not yet members but are curious about the Veterans Advantage program, our social media sites are a great way to get to know us,” added Higgins. “Whether they have served in the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard or National Guard, we are confident that they will be pleased to join the Veterans Advantage family.”
