Panel to focus on how to overcome the difficult and costly challenges that the Cloud represents

On April 6, 2011, Saugatuck Technology’s founder and CEO, Bill McNee will moderate a panel of senior industry executives at the Wells Fargo Tech Transformation Summit, to be held in San Francisco, CA, at the St. Regis Hotel.

The panel, entitled, “Simplifying the Cloud,” will focus on identifying some of the key technology issues and challenges that need to be overcome for businesses to fully embrace and fulfill the potential that the Cloud represents. While the Cloud can deliver significant cost savings – and in some cases provide significant business agility benefits – moving Enterprise IT out of the data center and into the new hybrid Cloud / On-premise architecture that is emerging, will no doubt be a complex and difficult undertaking.

Whether it be migrating existing workloads, deploying next-generation social computing tools, implementing and integrating enterprise-class Cloud business solutions (that replace yesteryear’s ERP workhorses), managing multi-cloud environments, or addressing the myriad security and IT management challenges that are arising – transitioning to the Cloud in a profitable way is not a trivial thing to do.

Joining McNee on the panel will be Malcolm Frank, SVP Marketing and Strategy at Cognizant Technology Solutions, Gaurav Dhillon, CEO at SnapLogic and Dave Rosenberg, CEO at SOBA Labs.

“We are delighted to join the program at the Wells Fargo Tech Transformation Summit,” shared McNee. “I look forward to visiting with the wide range of disruptive technology companies that will be represented at the conference, from both large and established providers and new start-ups – as well as engaging with the investment community concerning the likely evolution of the Cloud, and who the potential winners might be longer term.”
