e-Prescribing Provider eDoctor, Inc. Names Dr. Samuel Slonim to Medical Advisory Board

Leading e-prescribing provider, Rockville, MD-based eDoctor, Inc., names Washington state family physician Samuel Slonim to its Medical Advisory Board to represent health IT needs of solo practices.

Leading health IT provider eDoctor, Inc. announced today that Washington state family physician Samuel Slonim has joined other leaders in medical office technology on its Medical Advisory Board, said eDoctor, Inc. president Se Kang.

“Having real doctors on our Advisory Board is key to developing the most intuitive and useful e-prescribing software possible,” said Kang. “As an extremely techno-savvy physician, Dr. Slonim brings the dual perspectives of an early adapter and of an end-user in a solo practice. We’re very excited about his participation on our Board.”

Dr. Slonim began his family medical practice in Federal Way, Washington, in 1985 after graduating from the University of Southern California School of Medicine in Los Angeles and completing his residency at San Jose Family Practice in San Jose.

Physicians are being encouraged under MIPPA to begin issuing ePrescriptions by June 30, 2011, to qualify for incentives based on 2011 Medicare claims. Penalties for not converting to eprescribing by this date will be assessed for 2012 Medicare claims.
