BlogHer, the leading participatory news, entertainment and information network for women online, announced that Christine DeMaio, the former Vice President, Sales Development for Glam Media and former VP, Group Publisher for Condé Nast Digital, will become the company’s new Senior Vice President, Sales Marketing.
Reporting to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Co-Founder Lisa Stone, DeMaio will oversee BlogHer's sales marketing, strategic planning, and client services functions. She also becomes a part of the company’s executive management team, which directs all aspects of company strategy, planning and operations. DeMaio formally starts April 11.

DeMaio was previously VP, Sales Development for the Americas at Glam Media. Prior to that time, she was at Conde Nast Digital for six years, where she was VP, Group Publisher and led the sales team in its efforts to generate revenue for the company's 20 award winning sites, promoted from VP, Publisher for Epicurious.com and Concierge.com. That experience was preceded by management positions at Snowball and AtomFilms/Shockwave, as well as six additional years at Conde Nast Magazines as a sales development manager and corporate sales director.
