The largest business brokerage firm in Texas, Certified Business Brokers (CBB), announces its Austin expansion. A Houston staple since 1974, CBB has sold thousands of privately-held companies and is one of the pioneers of the business brokerage industry.

“It has been a long-standing goal to expand our footprint to other parts of the state. Austin’s diverse and dynamic business environment offers numerous opportunities for both buyers and sellers to achieve their goals. We are very pleased to have a presence in this iconic Texas city,” said Frank Stabler, Chief Executive Officer.

“The key benefit of expansion is that we can now provide a wider breadth of opportunities to all of our clients and customers.”

Austinites will now have access to a premier staff of professionals with expertise in business brokerage, mergers and acquisitions, restaurant sales, business valuations and appraisals, exit planning, equipment appraisals, and buy-side search and representation. Additionally, Austin clients and customers will have access to CBB’s systems, processes, and extensive database of thousands of completed transactions, an established source of valuation information that most brokerage firms simply cannot rival.

In recent years, more and more entrepreneurs have set their sights on Austin. The city is the center of Texas education and government. It is home to more than 2,000 technology companies, dubbed the “Silicon Hills” of Texas. With strong employment opportunities and its high metro statistical area rankings in many key demographic areas, the city is attracting multiple Fortune 500 companies. In addition to Austin’s strong economy, the area’s desirable location and amenities has lured residents from across the country and internationally. To those who are looking to buy or sell a business, CBB’s expertise will be an exceptional resource.

Austin Managing Director, Kevin Paulsen, heads up the newly opened Austin office. “As a broker at CBB, I have the rare privilege of helping prospective buyers find their ‘American Dream.’ We are providing an opportunity for budding entrepreneurs.”

Paulsen, a long-time Austin resident, brings over 35 years of business experience in finance, acquisitions, and consulting. As former CEO of TechSkills, LLC, a privately-held, Austin-based company, he increased revenues from $2MM to over $45MM through both organic growth and acquisitions. Additionally, expertise gained during his tenure as VP of IBM Global Services as advisor to start-up and established companies, and as a current restaurant owner, makes him ideally suited to serve the diverse Austin market.

“Over the last few years we’ve been modeling our platform to facilitate expansion. Our key focus was finding the right person to lead the Austin office,” said Rose Stabler, CBB’s Managing Partner. “Kevin’s innate strengths are exactly the ingredients needed to build on our current operations that have attracted buyers and sellers and made the Houston office so successful over the past three decades in getting deals done.”

CBB’s future expansion plans include offices in Dallas and San Antonio. “Texas is currently the fastest growing state. There’s an influx of people looking to settle here because of the favorable business climate, which directly impacts our activities. We strive to bring buyers and sellers together in all major Texas cities.”
