A new training video has been created to ensure student truck drivers are prepared for the impact of CSA in the trucking industry.

Some major changes are occurring in the trucking industry [due to CSA]. The punitive reaction of CSA discipline necessitates drivers and carriers to be proactive in avoiding [CSA] violations.

Driver Solutions has partnered with eGears, an online Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) training provider, for exclusive rights to a new video addressing recent CSA changes. CSA stands for Compliance, Safety, Accountability, and is the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) initiative to “further reduce commercial motor vehicle crashes, fatalities, and injuries on our nation’s highways.”

Student drivers attending the Driver Solutions truck driver training program will view the new CSA video as part of the core curriculum at trucking school. The video is based on research and analysis of actual CSA scoring data to help new drivers understand how to avoid the unsafe driving behaviors that cause the majority of CSA violations. By adding this CSA training component, it not only helps prepare the students in training, but helps the carriers that will be hiring the drivers as well.

“It’s vital that all truck drivers are familiar with the basics of CSA,” said Mark Kinsel, president of Driver Solutions. “Some major changes are occurring in the trucking industry [due to CSA]. The punitive reaction of CSA discipline necessitates drivers and carriers to be proactive in avoiding [CSA] violations. This video aims at the core of the most frequent violations to make drivers aware of potential problems.”

Specializing in CDL training, Driver Solutions partners with mid to large trucking fleets, such as PAM Transport and USA Truck, to offer company sponsored CDL training and job placement for inexperienced truck drivers. Last year, Driver Solutions helped more than 2,400 men and women start a new truck driving career. With over 23 years of experience, Driver Solutions has become a recognized leader in CDL training.
