Close to 200 top meeting professionals, luxury hotel sales professionals, and a dynamic group of leading speakers, will converge at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas for Elite Meetings International’s (EMI) Spring 2011 Elite Meetings Alliance, May 1-3, 2011.

The EMA will bring together attendees to discuss business, sample cutting-edge new technologies – including EMI’s SpeedRFP and FaceTime™ Appointment Scheduler, and experience the most exciting new resort on the Strip. Deborah Sexton, President and CEO of the Professional Convention Management Association (PMCA) and the PCMA Education Foundation, will deliver the event’s keynote address on Monday, May 2nd. John Vanderslice, Hilton Worldwide’s Global Head of Luxury & Lifestyle Brands, delivers the welcome keynote on May 1st.

Kelly Foy, Chief Executive Officer of EMI, said, “We could not be more excited about this year’s Spring EMA, which has industry professionals buzzing from coast to coast.” He concluded, “In addition to our phenomenal line-up of speakers, networking events, educational sessions and entertainers, we have a few surprises planned – which we are sure no one will ever forget. It’s about time – for the industry to come together to build business efficiencies and celebrate the return of group business.”

The EMA is a three-day event that brings together prequalified corporate and association meeting professionals with leaders in the luxury hotel industry. It features hundreds of prescheduled one-on-one meetings arranged via EMI’s FaceTime™ Appointment Scheduler, continuing education sessions for CMP credit, and unique networking opportunities.
In addition to these business-building activities, this year’s Spring EMA will give attendees the chance to hear and learn firsthand from Tony Abou-Ganim – author of The Modern Mixologist, Food Network star, and an internationally recognized master of cocktail development.

An additional “special surprise” is planned, a trip to Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp – a team-building activity which will have conference attendees rocking in their seats . . . and on stage!
Finally, attendees will learn more about an exciting development, the availability of Elite Meetings magazine in 223 locations at major airports across the United States.
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, a new 2,995-room casino-resort in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, is the host of the coveted EMA. Comprised of two 50-story towers across 8.7 acres of land, The Cosmopolitan features oversized residential style living space and expansive one-of-a-kind private terraces. The resort offers close to 700,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting space, making it an ideal venue for meetings, conventions and events.
