"You can do almost ANYTHING with Sunbrella Fabric."
(PRWEB) April 18, 2011
Devin Delano Productions (http://www.devindelano.com) teamed up with Sunbrella Fabrics and Brooklyn's Situ Studio for a private cocktail party and showing of the reOrder installation at the Brooklyn Museum on March 24. The party was the inaugural event for the Brooklyn Museum's Great Hall following its recent renovation and was attended by VIPs from the architectural and interior design communities, members of the media and other special guests.
Delano's company handled the floral, lighting, and decor for the event. Table centerpieces were a mixture of green lotus pods, white ranunculas, and calathea leaves. The flowers tied into the reOrder installation, which features more than 2,000 yards of Sunbrella fabrics in a clean, white colorway. Hues of amber lighting patterns washed the floor, mimicking the overhead pleated fabric structures.
The reOrder installation was designed, built and installed by Situ Studios as a way to redefine the classic space for Museum visitors. The fabric structures create an intimate feel in the Hall, with varying sizes and shapes that add life to the expansive space and make it an ideal setting for events.
Delano also provided the production design for the Sunbrella Fabric 50th Anniversary Showroom Event at Gary's Loft in NYC. The week-long event consisted of a cocktail party, media brunch, and panel presentation with HGTV Designer Genevieve Gorder and an extensive loft-based photo shoot. Delano designed the production to showcase Sunbrella's extensive fabric offering, creating ethereal manzanita trees with branches made of long strips of Sunbrella fabrics in various textures such as velvets, canvas, chenilles and sheers. Event design also included a room layout to highlight the many products featuring Sunbrella fabrics, which resulted in a loft setting of sitting areas, outdoor living, a bedroom and shade structures. All of the furniture in the space was reupholstered in Sunbrella fabrics.
