Two of Hollywood’s most storied stars will appear live on stage -for the first time ever- at Toronto’s prestigious Roy Thomson Hall on Tuesday, June 7th at 7:30 p.m. for a one-night-only celebration of Thelma & Louise: The 20th Anniversary Homecoming, presented by MasterCard Canada.
Their two-woman show celebrates the road-movie that became an iconic memory for millions; a symbol of women’s rights and aspirations; and a turning point in the careers of its stars, including the unknown Brad Pitt.

The evening will kick off with reflections by Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis, followed by an on-stage interview with a leading Canadian media personality. In addition, there will be clips from the film and from the films they starred in after Thelma & Louise, as well as video memories and behind-the-scenes interviews from the people who brought the film to life and acted in it.
Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online through the Roy Thomson Hall box office or by calling the Roy Thomson Hall Box Office at 4l6 872-4255. Regular tickets range in price from $60 to $155.
Presenting sponsor MasterCard Canada is supporting the event by donating the “Best of House” tickets to Women’s College Hospital Foundation to sell exclusively. “Best of House” seats and VIP packages, which include a post-show reception with the actors, can be purchased through Women’s College Hospital Foundation. Funds raised by the Foundation through the sale of these tickets will support The Campaign for Women’s College Hospital contributing to the construction of a new, state-of-the-art facility for Women’s College Hospital.
To celebrate this milestone event, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has released a 20th anniversary Blu-ray edition of this epic female-empowerment movie.

Thelma & Louise is a 1991 film co-produced and directed by Ridley Scott and written by Callie Khouri, the film's plot revolves around Thelma and Louise's escape from their troubled and caged lives. It stars Geena-Davis as Thelma and Susan Sarandon as Louise, and co-stars Harvey Keitel as a sympathetic detective trying to trace them as they go on the run after killing a rapist. Michael Madsen plays the role of Louise's boyfriend. Brad Pitt (in his first significant role in a major Hollywood film) plays a parolee robber.
Thelma & Louise became an instant critical and commercial success, and receiving six Academy Award nominations, winning one for Best Original Screenplay (Khouri). Both Sarandon and Davis were nominated for their roles in the same category, Academy Award for Best Actress. However, the two lost the award to Jodie Foster for her role in The Silence of the Lambs.
