This is great news! It's an awesome book. I've been wanting to see it as a movie for years. I can't wait to see what they do for the cyborg Doberman. Bad-ass!

In just 48 hours, Dahlia Street Films’ release of a development teaser for its latest sci fi comedy motion picture, “Buddy Holly is Alive and Well On Ganymede” has been viewed nearly 10,000 times since its release on You Tube and has received a perfect 100% "thumbs up" approval from fans of Bradley Denton’s award winning comic novel by the same name.
The film stars cult icon and star of smash hit Napoleon Dynamite Jon Heder in a quirky and hilarious role based on Bradley Denton's highly acclaimed and award winning comic novel.
The film depicts the story of Oliver Vale, a common electronic salesman called to unexpected and extraordinary adventures when television screens go blank across the world and rock icon Buddy Holly is alive again performing from Ganymede, a moon of Jupiter. Things get even weirder when Buddy announces that anyone having a problem with their reception should contact Oliver Vale for assistance. He then reads Oliver's address to all of Earth.
This odd manifesto abruptly changes the life of Vale who suddenly finds himself the target of a high speed cross-country chase. In one defining moment, Vale turns from channel surfer to perpetrator number one as he finds himself being chased by space aliens, a fierce cyborg Doberman, and a ruthless government agent. So what does any self-respecting satellite repairman and Buddy Holly music lover do? He sets off to Lubbock, Texas, the birthplace of Holly, where he hopes to find the key to the mysterious blackout and appearance of Buddy Holly.
Buddy Holly is Alive and Well on Ganymede is an exciting, action-packed, sci fi adventure story - with a rock and roll vibe - guaranteed to attract a universal audience for all ages. “Anyone who has read Bradley's book knows that it is a marvelously quirky story but it is also a story that digs deeper than you ever expect it to. It really grabs you and takes you along for the ride,” adds director Robb Rugan.
"The novel and subsequent screenplay are both incredibly unique and intelligent,” Molly Mayeux, producer and founder of Dahila Street Films, said. “You have so many popular and interesting elements working together - comedy, sci fi, action, rock n roll and even 'quirk' - that Robb (director) and I knew we had to create a solid teaser to show the commercial appeal for potential distributors as well as to give people a taste of the adaptation of a well loved novel to big screen.”
