Miracles happen everyday, every minute of each day. Some are so miraculous, they are unbelievable. Ruby Carter tells of a few miracles in her new book, A Rainbow On The Ground Before Me. There are other stories in this heartwarming book, also. In the story, A Rainbow, Ruby Carter came face to face with a rainbow. To see a rainbow in the sky, high up in the clouds is a beautiful sight, but to see a rainbow on the ground, in the same area you are in and is close enough to touch is mesmerizing. In the bibical days, the Bible tells us whenever a rainbow appeared to a specific person, that person troubles were over. The Merit Students dictionary defines a rainbow as an arc of spectral colors seen in the sky opposite the sun and caused by the reflection of the sun's rays by water droplets in the air.
When a child is facing death, everything in the parent life is brought to a standstill. In Ruby Carter's book, a miracle of life and strength is told. In the short story, Chris Accident, a twenty-eight year old man was critically injured. The author tells of unbelievable recovery through trials and tribulations.
In the book, A Rainbow On The Ground Before Me, a story of love, death, illness and healing is told in the short story, Bedside Angel. The Merit Students dictionary defines spirit as to enliven; animate; and stimulate. Each is described in this heartfelt story. A deceased sister, visited her ill sister, Nell. Although, Nell was looking at her sister standing by her bedside, she knew it was her sister's spirit, unzipping her sick body. After getting out of bed the next morning, Nell realized her body was well.
A Rainbow On The Ground Before Me is equally inspiring and a page-turner. Ruby Carter has managed both with her beautifully uplifting book. An easy read but one that is hard to put down, readers will relish sharing the joy and sadness of these miracles in each of its heartwarming stories.
"My daughters and I laughed so hard at the story Ethel's 60th Birthday Party.
