Hartford, Conn. (PRWEB) April 25, 2011
OpenSky Professional Services, an IT consulting firm with industry-leading expertise in Infrastructure Services, Virtualization, Risk Management and Security, Governance, Risk and Compliance, and Technical Business Consulting announced the opening of a new South Central office to help enterprises solve complex IT issues. Additionally, the firm announced that it has named IT consulting veteran Brian Childers as Vice President and General Manager to lead, build and deliver effective solutions for corporations in Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas.
According to CNBC, Texas is 2010’s Top State for Business, hosting the headquarters of 57 of the nation’s Fortune 500 companies ranked by gross revenues. Texas cities have grown in importance as Fortune 500 hubs and developed an increasingly diverse and dynamic set of industries, with Dallas rising over the past decade from seventh to third in the nation. “This growth has increased the need for highly experienced IT professional services in the South Central area,” said Randy Moussavi, Managing Partner, OpenSky, Southwest Operations. “Brian brings over 15 years of experience to helping large corporations solve their complex IT problems.”
“OpenSky believes strongly in a trusted-advisor status with its customers and adding value beyond technology and products,” said Roger Levasseur, President and Chief Executive Officer, OpenSky. “We believe that having a physical presence near our current and future clients is an important part of our service. We are very fortunate in securing Brian Childers as our VP and General Manager of the South Central Operation as he has had tremendous successes in building innovative and responsive IT consulting services in this market for many years."
Brian joins OpenSky with over 15 years of management experience in IT professional services. As President and CEO of Comport Network Services and Solutions, Brian successfully built and grew this business until its acquisition by ERGOS Technology Partners. As Regional Vice President of ERGOS Technology Partners, Brian was responsible for Managed IT Services and Business Solutions clients throughout Dallas, Fort Worth, and North Texas. Prior to starting Comport, Brian served as Managing Director for INS/Lucent Technologies where he led over 250 consultants in the South Central United States and managed clients such as Sprint, WorldCom, and WalMart. Brian offers solid solutions to clients based on his clear understanding of IT strategy, tactical execution, business and IT challenges, and financial analysis. Brian writes as a guest columnist for The Fort Worth Business Press.
“As the leader of the South Central Office, I look forward to guiding overall strategy and implementing effective and innovative technology solutions for our clients,” said Brian Childers, OpenSky Vice President and General Manager. “With the average OpenSky consultant having over 12 years of experience, OpenSky has the expertise and resources to address complex IT issues and is well positioned to assist large companies in the areas of Infrastructure, Virtualization, Risk Management and Security, GRC, and Technical Business Consulting.”
“Brian takes care of issues quickly and goes the extra distance to be sure the job is done right,” said Ben Johnson, Managing Partner at FleetScreen, an employment screening services provider. “His expertise was vital in upgrading our infrastructure, automating processes and creating a technology strategy. I would recommend Brian to enterprises seeking an experienced and knowledgeable IT consultant.”
