South Plainfields, NJ (Vocus/PRWEB) April 20, 2011
Xlibris, the print-on-demand self-publishing services provider, announced today the availability of Smile Bandages, Repairers of the Breach, by author Vertie Pringle-Reid. Available in online bookstores since February 8, 2010, this book follows the author’s life journey with God.
In a ministry that began in her home, the author initially answered the call of God as the “Church Mother”. Later when the Holy Spirit prompted her to leave, she was hesitant to leave the Church that she had become so attached to. Although His promptings were trying to lead her to take His message outside of the realms of the Church’s building, the decision to leave that church ministry involved making a heart-wrenching decision. When she continued in disobedience by ignoring God’s direction, she found herself on the battlefield with Satan’s arrows being hurled in her direction.
In Smile Bandages, Repairers of the Breach, the author reveals her life’s journey, the vicious attacks of Satan and how she stood firm against the devil. She reveals the shameful things she did in the past and how she surrendered her guilt to God, offering her life in His service. It was a major turning point in her life and thus began an extraordinary journey that began with mothering her own children, then children of others and whoever God brought into her life.
The author hopes that through her book, others will be empowered and inspired to decide for themselves if they also would like to be foster care parents, and join the ranks of those who are the contemporary ‘Repairers of the Breach’.
This book will be featured at the 2011 New Jersey Library Association Book Exhibit in Long Beach, NJ on May 3-4, 2011. For more information on this book, interested parties may log onto Xlibris.com.
About the Author
Vertie Pringle-Reid has written Smile Bandages Cover a Multitude of Pain, which was the initial resurfacing of some of her long forgotten memories. Recalling those memories, she experienced a transitional period in which she was able to find the purpose and plan that God had for her. Remembering the joy and strength she experienced while caring for her own children, she began encouraging her grandchildren, and other children to practice dance steps to a few songs of praise whenever they visited her in her home. Eventually she founded two lively praise dance troupes. These children danced under her direction and later became known as the Smile Bandages ‘Stompers’ and the Smile Bandages ‘Jewels’. The children often accompany her to her various speaking engagements at nursing homes and senior facilities throughout New Jersey. The children enjoy dancing before the seniors and interacting with friendly smiles of love. She and her husband, Randy, currently reside in South Plainfield, New Jersey, where she continues to care for a foster child and two mentally challenged adults.
