First of four $10,000 scholarships of 2011 awarded to Glendale Community College student

ScholarshipPoints  (http://www.scholarshippoints.com), an Edvisors online education company, recently announced the winner of its first $10,000 scholarship of 2011. On March 15th, Paolina Engibegian of Glendale Community College became the 11th student to receive a $10,000 scholarship from ScholarshipPoints. With the help of this scholarship Engibegian plans to transfer to the University of California, Los Angeles to continue working towards her dream of becoming an Endocronologist.

Like many students, Engibegian struggles financially when it comes to paying for college. “This scholarship will be a great help in paying for my education,” said Engibegian. “I also work part time to help pay for my educational expenses and this award will be a huge financial help to me.”

ScholarshipPoints helps to alleviate the financial burden associated with higher education through random scholarship drawings held every month. Scholarship values range from $500 to $10,000 and members of the site can increase their chances of winning by completing activities like reading blogs and taking surveys. The money goes directly to the winners financial aid office to be used for tuition, room and board, books and other school expenses. Over $120,000 was awarded to students in 2010.

The next $10,000 Scholarship Drawing is on June 15, 2011 but to enter you must be a member of ScholarshipPoints.com. ScholarshipPoints is completely free to join and participate in.
