Atlanta Technology Angels (ATA) has partnered with TechOperators and Dave Gould in a Series A Preferred funding of HireIQ Solutions. HireIQ helps customer service organizations improve hiring decisions, reduce recruiting costs and increase talent performance using its proven predictive performance technology.
“The partnership that ATA and TechOperators (an Atlanta-based venture capital firm) formed in funding HireIQ is an example of how the early-stage funding community can work together to fund aspiring entrepreneurs in Atlanta,” says Devon Wijesinghe, board member of ATA.
"ATA was one of our early investment partners, and we are excited to be able to continue to build on that relationship through this most recent participation,” adds Joe Gruca, CEO of HireIQ Solutions. “I am very impressed with the new approach this group is taking, and I think it will greatly assist fellow early-stage companies like ours in the Atlanta market.”
Per its new operating criteria, ATA formed a single-purpose LLC with Wijesinghe as the deal champion. Wijesinghe also became HireIQ’s lead investor for ATA, and his experience in the Human Resources Outsourcing industry (through his current company, e-VERIFILE.COM) promises to greatly benefit the HireIQ team.
“I am excited to invest with all of the parties that were part of this transaction and in a company as promising as HireIQ,” explains Wijesinghe. The funding will be used to accelerate the building of the company’s predictive analysis tool and to provide more growth capacity for their Interview Plus product.
“We are thrilled with what ATA is doing in the Atlanta community and were very happy to partner with them on our latest investment,” notes Dave Gould, former CEO of Witness Systems and an operating partner of TechOperators. Gould, who has also joined HireIQ as chairman of the board, has a great deal of experience in the contact center space. He grew Witness Systems to over $250 million in revenue and sold it for over $1 billion.
“Dave’s and Devon’s experience and expertise provides us a great support system to help ensure our success,” says Gruca.
