Joining a peer communiity for hands-on creative exploration is an excellent way for guests to develop new techniques for artistic self-expression.

As part of their commitment for active programming, CMH Summer Adventures is offering two unique getaways for the visual artist in all of us. Painters and photographers in search of fresh mountain air, hikers who want to learn how to visually capture the beautiful scenery they traverse and all manner of curious artsy, adventurous types will converge on the Bugaboo range of Western Canada’s Columbia Mountains for two exclusive workshops.

August 5 - 8, 2011: Designed for those with an appetite to interpret the world through the focused lens of a camera, acclaimed wilderness photographer John E. Marriott hosts a photography workshop from the remote setting of the casually luxurious CMH Bugaboo Lodge.

September 7 - 10, 2011: For those whose expression is best articulated through paint on canvas, internationally renowned Canadian artist Robert Genn and his colleague Liz Wiltzen are set to lead a plein air painting retreat amidst the high alpine ranges of these same majestic Bugaboo Mountains.

Joining a peer community for hands-on creative exploration is an excellent way for guests to develop new techniques for artistic self-expression. These three night adventures will include two-and-a-half days of guided outside workshops amid the legendary (and imposing) Bugaboo Spires, the surreal azure blue of the surrounding glacial lakes and mountain sky overhead, and fields upon fields of colorful mountain wildflowers.
