Tampa, Fla. (PRWEB) April 22, 2011
After Hours Pediatrics Urgent Care today announced it will award three $1,000 prizes to schools that generate the most number of nominees for its Every Child Makes A Difference(R) community awards program, which celebrates “Young Heroes with Big Hearts” who have made exceptional contributions in their communities. Prizes will be awarded to one school in each of the regions After Hours Pediatrics serves: Tampa Bay, Orlando and South Florida.
“Every school is in need of something to better serve its students, and we are kicking off this year’s program by rewarding schools with amazing kids that are exhibiting exemplary acts of service,” said Anthony Todaro, Director of Marketing and Community Relations, After Hours Pediatrics Urgent Care. “Last year’s program was a great success and we look forward to acknowledging and rewarding more deserving kids who are making a difference in their communities.”
Every Child Makes A Difference invites adults in the community to nominate amazing kids that have reached out in some way to help others, and made a difference. Winners are selected annually in both the 5-11 and 12-21 year age brackets in the Tampa, Orlando and South Florida markets. The first six Every Child Makes A Difference winners were honored at a Red Carpet Awards Gala at Disney’s Hollywood Studios(R) in January. Each winner was rewarded with an extraordinary prize package valued at $2,500, as well as a crystal star trophy and an actual star in the sky named in their honor, as well as treated to a day at the theme park along with their families.
Every Child Makes A Difference is currently accepting nominations through November 30 at http://www.everychildmakesadifference.com. This year’s winners will be honored at a Red Carpet Awards Gala in January 2012.
