Rico Rodriguez steals the show as Manny Delgado on the ABC sitcom, “Modern Family.” Manny had a great time playing with this one-of-a-kind Perler bead castle which included king and queen, knights, dragon, horses, princesses and fairies.

A slew of celebrity kids stopped by the Perler Beads display at the Connected gift lounge for the 2011 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on April 1, 2011 in Hollywood, Calif. The Perler Beads display featured a one-of-a-kind Perler Beads castle complete with dragon, horses, king, queen, knights, princesses and fairies. Several of the young celebs also took time to make their own miniature Perler Beads fish to benefit the Kyrie Foundation for pediatric brain cancer research.

The celebrity kids having fun with Perler Beads included Elsie Fisher, Kenton Duty, Rico Rodriguez, Preston and Brennan Bailey and Sammi Hanratty.

Eight-year old Elsie Fisher provided the voice of youngest sister Agnes in the film, DESPICABLE ME. Most people know her by her classic quote, “It’s so fluffy I’m gonna die!” It was a difficult choice for Elsie among all the Perler Beads colors, but in the end she chose dark blue and hot pink for her Perler fish for charity.


Ken Duty stars as the flamboyant European exchange student Günther Hessenheffer on the Disney Channel original series, “Shake it Up!” Growing up with Perler as a kid, Ken enjoyed looking through all the Perler Beads colors and then choosing light blue with a bright green stripe for his charity fish.


Known for her role as Holly on the Disney Channel’s “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody,” Sammi Hanratty also has been seen on TV series’ “Pushing Daisies” and “The Unit.” Sammi chose a Perler Beads fish in dark and light purple, and talked about her experience using Perler Beads many times before, confessing: “I love Perler Beads!”


Brennan stars in the upcoming ABC Family feature “Halloween Dog,” and was seen in 2010 in “The Dog Who Saved Christmas Vacation.” Preston plays the lead in the upcoming kids feature film based on the book “Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer,” and also stars on the Showtime hit TV series, “Dexter.” The brothers enjoyed receiving their Perler Beads Bakery Buckets to take home.
